Endangered Species Act
Passed in the early 1970s, the Endangered Species Act is meant to preserve wildlife that is threatened by reckless economic development and growth. Species creatures are added to the list when the situation warrants it. They can also be removed from the list if their populations and habitats have adequately rebounded.
