Global Warming Solutions Act of 2006

In 2006, the state of California passed AB32, better known as The Global Warming Solutions Act of 2006.  The first U.S. state to pass such a law, the bill required California to closely comply with the Kyoto protocol by reducing greenhouse gas emissions to 1990 levels by the year 2020.
