If you people ban the use of endrin [see below] until we know a lot more about it then we do now, many orchards will simply go out of production.
The opposition in the House Agriculture committee was lead by Rep. George Goodling (R-PA). Endrin is an extremely hazardous insecticide primarily used on cotton; it proved especially harmful to aquatic creatures and humans, particularly children. It is currently banned in most countries.
